Employment status and the gig economy

In 2016 we saw a huge amount of media coverage of the employment practices of some of our well-known employers – in particular Amazon and Sports Direct (which was accused by MPs of operating as a “Victorian workhouse”), together with criticism of the practices of newer firms such as Uber and CitySprint. As a result, a whole raft of cases are now underway regarding employment status and its associated rights – this month’s webinar takes a closer look at employment status and the gig economy.
