Alex joined HR Solutions in May 2017 as HR Advisor to provide case support to our advice line clients.  She has since been promoted to Senior HR Advisor Team Leader and then HR Consultant.


Prior to joining HR Solutions Alex spent many years working in Retail Management in London for some well-known companies such as Warehouse, Sainsbury’s and Next.  Alex has a great deal of experience in managing large teams and can pass on her experience to our clients on the challenges involved.

After starting a family Alex embarked on a change of career and has worked in the HR sector for 6 years.  During this time Alex has studied for her level 3 and level 7 CIPD HR qualifications whilst gaining significant experience working as a HR Advisor in the NHS.

Alex has a great deal of employee relations experience and enjoys the challenge and variety of queries she handles on our advice line.  She works hard to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients in different situations whilst taking a commercial approach.

Alex’s Q&A

What’s your greatest personal achievement?

Completing my Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management.  I studied for this while working and with two young children it was hard work and I amazed myself how disciplined I was with my time, but it was all worth it in the end.

What’s the best bit of advice you have ever been given?

Don’t worry take action.  There is no point wasting time worrying about things that haven’t worked or have gone wrong.  You need to focus on putting steps in place to resolve things, learn from what has happened and making sure it works next time.

What do you wish other people knew about HR Solutions?

That it’s a great team!  Everyone is passionate about what we do, ensuring our knowledge is up to date and working together to be able to give the best advice and service to our clients.
