The children are given opportunities to receive knowledge and develop skills through teaching and play.
Our client is looking for an experienced Nursery Nurse with NNEB/CACHE Diploma NVQ 3 or above to join their nursery based in North East London.
Nursery Nurse – Role Description
The role of this post will be to assist with the teaching, care and welfare of children at the Nursery. The post will also help in the support and training of students and trainees at the Nursery.
Nursery Nurse – Key Responsibilities
The Nursery Nurse role entails the following responsibilities:
- Assisting the Nursery Manager in the education and teaching of children attending the Nursery
- Helping to provide an appropriate programme of learning activities in a stimulating and learning environment for the children
- Assisting in the induction and settling in of children attending the Nursery
- Undertaking a key worker role by co-coordinating information about allocated individual children and providing a link with parents and carers, via developmental reports
- Carrying out observations and evaluations of children, and producing reports on individual needs of the children as required
- Assisting in the support and training of other staff, students and trainees at the Nursery
- Assisting with the supervision of children’s meals and daily activities
- Maintaining the Nursery’s equipment and stock as appropriate and keeping the room clean and safe at all the times
- Filing and maintaining children’s records and relevant documents
- Whenever needed, helping in providing emergency cover
- Promote and maintain good working relationships between the Nursery and parents/carers at all times
- Keep up to date with the new childcare developments as appropriate
