Our client is a high profile national charity with a local presence throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our client operates in a fast-paced, politicised environment, dealing with complex and often controversial social issues and with multiple stakeholders. They are now looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to add to their team.

Role Description

The successful candidate’s key role will be to provide administrative support to the Central Services Team based in the Head Office, London as well as the Senior Management Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact for management, staff, members and external parties
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office
  • Respond to incoming calls / post
  • Deal with all correspondence as requested / directed
  • Assist the co-ordination for arrangement of internal and external meetings
  • Maintain the paper and IT filing systems
  • IT support - assist colleagues with formatting and printing of documents with knowledge of various software packages
  • Maintain membership database
  • Prepare and facilitate mailouts to members
  • Support H & S in the office
  • Organisation of travel and hotel arrangements
  • Ordering Company stationery
  • Staff newsletters - designing and producing on a quarterly basis
  • Any other duties as required by the Central Services Team

Person Specification

At least 1 year as an Administrator in a small to medium organisation.

It would be advantageous for the post holder to have Level 2 or 3 in BSL. Please note that if you have this additional qualification you will have an uplift of up to £3,000 per annum to support deaf staff at the London Office with ad hoc communication support. This will be monitored through supervision and by maintaining a log of support provided.
