Modern life has led to a variety of different sources of pressure being put on employees, whether it be work related or their home life, have an Employee Assistance Programme can assist employees with the practical support and advice they need to be able to deal with these issues effectively and quickly, and therefore with the minimal of impact on your organisation.
Having an EAP in place can also help with a healthy working environment.
Companies often find EAPs useful in referring employees to call and use the services after a period of sickness absence, or where they appear to not be themselves but don’t want to discuss issues with their line manager or colleagues.
An EAP is usually made up of Telephone and/ or Face to Face Counselling and typically provides advice on the following components:
- Legal
- Financial
- Marital
- Illness
Users will also be provided with access through a web-portal to guidance documents and advice online.
